When your travel window ends, everything automatically reverts to its normal schedule. You come home to a household that picked up right where it left off — not one that needs a complete restart.

Vacation Mode also handles the nuanced middle ground: if you have a pet-sitter or grandparent staying at the house, you can add them as a temporary household member with a limited role that only shows them their assigned caretaker tasks. They see what they need to do without having access to your full family dashboard. Tasks like feeding the dog, collecting the mail, and watering plants can be assigned to them with their own notification schedule — and you get completion confirmations from the road.

For co-parenting households, Vacation Mode integrates with the custody calendar. If you’re taking the kids on a trip during your parenting time, the system flags any custody-adjacent logistics — pickup times, return times, communication check-ins — and ensures they remain visible and scheduled even while other household tasks are paused. No detail slips through because you’re in beach mode.
